When you are freediving and teaching freediving for such a long time, running a large and active dive centre and a popular website where we sell quite a bit of gear, you can only come to one conclusion.

The existing premium gear is too expensive, not suited for the general market and is not always well-engineered or produced.

Vincent & Emily

The two company owners are a great match!

Vincent is a Molchanovs Instructor Trainer, SSI Freediving Instructor Trainer, SSI Swim Teacher Trainer and a serial entrepreneur with a degree in Marine Science and Naval Engineering and Business, Management and Economy.

Emily is a Molchanovs Wave 2 Instructor, SSI Level 2 Freediving Instructor and SSI Swim Teacher and has well over ten years of international retail, purchasing, and distribution experience and has streamlined our global distribution.

A beautiful couple and the driving force behind the companies in the Apnea Sports Group.

GO DEEP PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

We develop our gear with Dutch efficiency and quality management by prioritising customer needs, asking ourselves the right questions, and working with a this-needs-to-be-better attitude.
DEFINE: How can we help freedivers? Which piece of gear needs to be better?
FEASIBILITY: If we engineer and develop new gear, can we produce it with better specifications? With better materials? Make it more durable? And market it at a better price?
DEVELOP: Can we use current partners and factories for production? Can we integrate it with the existing optimised distribution channels?
VALIDATE: Is this what freedivers need? Can we deliver fast and with safe and environmental packaging?
IMPLEMENT: How can we proceed with testing the items in our centre? How and when can our instructors use the items? What are the benchmarks, and how do we evaluate its quality?
EVALUATE: Is this the quality we want? Does the item function better than required? Will this make freedivers happy?

I know Vincent and Emily for several years and have been following the development of the Go Deep products from the beginning. It’s a very exciting project, and I can’t wait to test all the gears myself. They are made by freedivers for freedivers with the best quality materials possible and a lot of small details that make the difference. All the gears are designed to be super functional and to last for years.

Sarns

It has been a great pleasure to witness the development and production of the first items in the Go Deep range of freediving equipment. I have dived with the Go Deep prototype buoy a number of times and can report that it is very stable in the water and has a very large number of sturdy hand holds around the buoy’s circumference, making breathe up, surfacing and conversation that bit easier and more comfortable.

I have not had an opportunity to use the bottom plate but I have seen and handled it and I can report that it is an absolutely gorgeous piece of kit. It looks and feels very robust with a sharp, modern design. I am very much looking forwards to seeing the new wetsuits and other equipment that Vincent has in the development pipeline.
